Holt Veterinary Clinic

Completed in 2014, Holt Veterinary Clinic is a 5,600‑square‑foot, multi‑phase project located at 5619 SMU Boulevard in Dallas, Texas. Constructed by Structures & Interiors and designed by Barry Bull Ballas, the facility blends modern functionality with the preserved legacy of its original 1946 building, creating a state‑of‑the‑art veterinary space that honors its historical roots.

The project was uniquely challenging due to its zero‑lot‑line property and the need to maintain clinic operations throughout construction. To minimize disruption, the new facility was built behind the original building on the former kennel site, followed by the abatement and demolition of the original structure to create a new approach and parking lot. Careful phasing allowed the clinic to continue serving clients with minimal downtime.

The result is a veterinary clinic with improved traffic flow, enhanced accessibility, and spacious treatment areas equipped with modern technology. This project highlights Structures & Interiors’ expertise in complex veterinary facility construction, delivering a high‑performance space that preserved operations and exceeded client expectations.
